lyrics
I made a big mistake I guess by telling you, you had to tell it to your friends, you had to brag it to them all, now all of them know of it, they say my neck is stretched a bit, will they come visit me when I’m at the zoo? I made a big old goof you know by asking you, you told my parents and they gasped, you told the press and they came by, with cameras rolling oh, the reporters are asking how, how could a guy like me turn out this way? Not a monkey, No, not an antelope, ain’t a hippo eating a cantaloupe, not a zebra, please don’t laugh now that this short guy is a giraffe, I made a large faux pas thats right by shushing you, I should have used my megaphone but maybe its not as loud as your big mouth shooting off when my back was turned, I guess it doesn’t matter now I only want the high leaves, and all the cameras rolling oh, the reporters are asking now, how could a guy like me turn out this way? Now everyone knows of it, they say my neck is stretched a lot, will they come visit me when I;’m at the zoo, and will you?
